My name is Chris. I'm a Type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed in 2006 and have never really had my disease under control; nor did I take it very seriously.
Today I saw my endocrinologist. She told me that if my BGL (blood glucose levels) don't improve ASAP then she would have to put me on an insulin pump. I don't know why that bothers me so much, but it does.
My goals are simple in theory. Lose weight and get my BGL closer to normal levels. Simple in theory. In practice, on the other hand...
So in an effort to make these two goals a reality I am going to try to create a feeling of accountability for myself by photographing everything I eat or drink. If it goes into my mouth then its pic goes on this blog.
Let's start with tonights dinner:
Grilled salmon
Grilled asparagus
Small salad with ranch (dipped my fork in the ranch so I wound up using very little dressing)
Unsweetened iced tea
For a bedtime snack I had a Slim-Fast snack bar.
